We hope you and your families are well.
The Sefton Board have tried throughout to keep everyone informed of what is happening with our Club and hopefully you are finding these emails useful. As you may be aware we have a new Director of Communications and he is keen to live up to that title!
We have now moved into stage C of the RFUs plan for returning to playing. This means that there can be more variety in the training sessions and a move towards something like a competitive game. There are still limits and we have to abide by the guidelines laid out. When you come training please listen to any instructions from your coach.
You many have also noticed that our club is open again and along with it, the Bar. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the sunshine after training and as we move out of restrictions it is worth remembering that the bar is a significant part of the revenue we generate and helps us keep up with the maintenance of the club. Please do make use of it. We are not yet at the stage that will permit us to use the showers or changing areas. When this changes we will be sure to let you know.
There is some outstanding business we need to resolve, notably the end of season awards and the club AGM. The Sefton Board is exploring how we can safely complete these and we will let you know once there are plans in place. These plans will of course depend on the state of the COVID situation which is ever changing.
Now that some restrictions have been lifted Sian and Chris are looking at organising a intra-club tournament based on the Ready4Rugby game which the RFU is promoting. This is the only game that can be played at the moment and we need to work around the restrictions that have been put in place - look out for more information soon.
Moving forwards The Sefton Board would also like to think about how we communicate with you, the members about how our club is run and we would like to know what your thoughts are. We have set aside time on the agenda of the monthly Board meetings to answer questions from the members and if you would like to submit a question please approach anyone on the board or email email@example.com.
